A friend who also owns a cat showed me a picture of a cat-sized hammock on her phone, and I immediately knew mine would genuinely adore this as well, so I bought one from China. When the package came in the mail, I quickly tried it out, but realized I should have taken measurements ;-).
The hammock frame fits within my window width, but the suction cups overlap with the door frame, so they won’t be of much use like this. I thought about shortening the white tubes, but then the canvas wouldn’t line up anymore, so I decided to take another approach.
I took measurements this time, and quickly carved this wooden piece on the cnc. It locks in between the tube T-pieces, and has new holes for the suction cups. The whole thing press-fits together, but I added a drop of glue just to be on the safe side.
Needless to say, my cat loves it!
