The babyboom is real.

Yet another friend of mine had his first baby boy last month, and as usual I made him a fitting one-off birth gift.

Finding inspiration was easy with a name like Otto. The design of the car was based off this instructable project.

I didn’t have much time so I used what wood I had on hand. 18mm pine FTW!

I made it so everything could be cut with a 1/8″ bit. I didn’t feel like over-complicating things with unnecessary tool changes.

Next, I cut away the tabs, glued the 3 body pieces together and did some thorough sanding.

The wheels were attached to some leftover brass tubing I had laying around.

Ready to ride!
